Details

Pleurotus eryngii is regarded as one of the finest gourmet mushrooms due to its thick stem, dense texture, and excellent shelf life. Native to regions around the Mediterranean, it is commonly cultivated on hardwood-based substrates.

Unlike most oyster mushrooms, King Oyster typically produces large individual fruiting bodies rather than clusters. Cool temperatures and controlled fruiting conditions improve mushroom quality and stem development. It is recommended to grow in high CO₂ conditions for thick, meaty stems.
