What is a still air box and do I need one?

A still air box is a clear plastic tote with two arm holes that traps the air inside so dust and spores settle instead of drifting onto your work. It is cheap to build and sharply lowers contamination when inoculating grain and pouring liquid culture. Most home growers use one instead of a flow hood, which costs far more and is only needed at larger scale.
