How do I grow lion's mane mushrooms?

Lion's mane grows best on hardwood sawdust with bran, such as Masters Mix, sterilised and spawned in a block or bag. Colonise at 20 to 24°C, then fruit at about 18 to 24°C with very high humidity near 90 to 95% and gentle fresh air. It fruits as a single white toothed clump rather than a capped mushroom, so cut it while the spines are short and it is still firm and white.
