How soon should I use my culture or spawn after it arrives?

Use liquid culture and agar within a few months for the best vigour, though refrigerated cultures often stay usable longer. Grain spawn is best used within a week or two, since fully colonised grain wants to move on to substrate. If you cannot use spawn straight away, keep it cool to slow it down. Fresher is always stronger.
