Why is my mushroom yield low?

Low yields usually come from dry substrate, poor fresh air, low humidity during pinning, or a block that was not fully colonised before fruiting. Check that the substrate was at 60 to 70% moisture, that colonisation was complete and even, and that pinning conditions were humid with steady air. Weak or old spawn and too little spawn also cut yields.
