How long does it take to grow mushrooms from start to harvest?

Most gourmet mushrooms take about four to eight weeks from spawn to first harvest, depending on species and temperature. Grain spawn usually colonises in 10 to 21 days, bulk substrate takes another 1 to 3 weeks, and pinning to picking runs about 5 to 10 days. Oysters sit near the fast end, while shiitake blocks can take longer to mature.
