Do I need a laboratory to grow gourmet mushrooms at home?

No. A clean kitchen or a spare room works for home-scale growing. The skills that matter are clean technique and steady fruiting conditions, not a dedicated lab. A simple still air box handles inoculation, a pressure cooker handles sterilising, and a humid box or tent handles fruiting. A separate clean space helps once you grow regularly, but it is not required to begin.
